Tingvoll is a small rural municipality beautifully situated between two fjords lying southwest of Trondheim. Tingvoll has 3100 inhabitants, and covers 337 km2. Within one hour's drive we can visit the towns Molde and Kristiansund.

Tingvoll Municipality and Tingvoll sport organisation are organizing a holiday club for children between the age of 6 and 15 in the Summer 2009.

The municipalities are the main units of local government administration in Norway. They are responsible for kindergarten, primary and lower secondary education, social services, municipal roads, water and sewerage and zoning regulation.

Tingvoll commune declared to be an "eco-commune" by 1990, facing the challenges from the Brundtland Commission. Giving environmental education to the local administration and politicians was the first step, then we started recycling household waste, implemented school projects, got a friendship town; Bunda in Tanzania, and many more projects.
